Health financing

    Overview

WHO/Europe works with Member States to improve the way in which they finance their health systems.

We provide tailored technical assistance through policy dialogue and analytical work, supporting countries to develop policy, monitor progress and design reforms. We also carry out analytical work across the region and facilitate the sharing of international evidence and experience through the WHO Barcelona course on health financing.

Monitoring financial protection to assess country and regional progress towards universal health coverage (UHC) is a key part of our work.
