The Health Security Division, through the Pan-European Network for Disease Control (NDC), is launching a new peer-to-peer exchange series on 23 September 2026, with 9 online sessions taking place between September and December 2026.
Public health institutions across the WHO European Region face many common challenges in preparing for and responding to health emergencies. NDC members have highlighted the need for regular, structured opportunities to share practical experiences, learn directly from one another and explore solutions that can be adapted to different national and institutional contexts.
The series will bring together representatives of NDC member institutions to present concrete experiences, discuss lessons learned and exchange practical approaches. Sessions will address the Network’s priority areas of collaborative surveillance, emergency coordination and access to medical countermeasures.
The initiative aims to strengthen peer learning, deepen collaboration among member institutions and support the implementation of the Pan-European NDC Strategy 2026–2030.
Each 1-hour session will include a presentation by an NDC member institution, followed by a facilitated discussion, with approximately 40 minutes dedicated to exchange among participants. Sessions will generally take place on Wednesdays from 13:00 to 14:00 CET, with the series concluding on 9 December 2026.
Participation is limited to representatives of NDC member institutions and invited colleagues from their organizations. Advance registration is required. The working language will be English.
