Pharma 4.0: Strengthening local production of pharmaceuticals and the supply chain systems in Africa through digitalization

The  Global Initiative on Digital Health (GIDH), a WHO hosted Network, and the Team Europe Initiative on the AU-EU Health Partnership are pleased to share with you a Save the Date for an upcoming informal side event during the 79th Session of the World Health Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland.

The event aims to convene global stakeholders to explore the intersection of digitalization, pharmaceutical production, and public-private cooperation in Africa. Key themes include:

✅ Practical steps to accelerate digitalization in local pharmaceutical manufacturing 
✅ The benefits of adopting Pharma 4.0 in pharmaceutical manufacturing 
✅ Strengthening public–private sector cooperation to enhance local pharmaceutical production and supply chain systems 

The event will mark the launch of a report on a Situation Analysis on the Intersection of Digitalization, Pharmaceutical Production and Private Sector Cooperation under the Global Initiative on Digital Health.
