Sexual and Reproductive Health and Research (SRH)
Including the Human Reproduction Special Programme (HRP)

Partnerships

Universal access to sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) is a key global commitment and a complex health systems challenge that no single individual or organization can achieve alone.

As a cosponsored programme, HRP’s strength lies in our ability to align partners around evidence and turn it into collective action that makes a positive difference in peoples' lives.

Together with United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), WHO and the World Bank (including the Global Financing Facility), we harness the unique mandates, capabilities, plans and resources of each UN agency.

HRP’s partners and networks extend far beyond the United Nations system. Collaborating with governments, academic institutions, civil society organizations and parliamentary and policy platforms, HRP bridges sectors and reaches those best positioned to drive change in their spheres of influence – those who know their communities and advocate for their health and rights.

As new knowledge is generated through research, including synthesizing available evidence, it is used to develop guidelines, implementation tools and policy statements. Co-designed, disseminated and implemented, HRP is a collective and responsive resource for evidence-based policy and decision-making, intended to bring health to all.

Together with our partners, we stand firm in promoting and protecting the evidence and rights-based approach to SRHR which every one of us needs and deserves.
